Description

The Ramayana Circuit is one among the 13 tourist circuits under the Swadesh Darshan scheme.

A committee under the Ministry of Tourism jotted down 15 destinations in the Ramayana Circuit in an effort to promote religious tourism. The destinations are chosen according to the places where Lord Ram is believed to have travelled across India.

Every circuit under the Swadesh Darshan scheme is administered by separate committees. These committees are the responsible for forming the blueprint of their respective circuit.

Detailed Itenary

Day 1: Allahabad

Arrive at Allahabad Airport, Uttar Pradesh.  On arrival, you will be welcomed by regional representative with flower garland/ bouquet and transfer you to hotel. In the evening, offer Pooja and Aarti at Triveni – meeting point of 3 Holy Rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. You can also participate in hymns in praise of the deities who is believed to wash off your sins. The evening rituals at the Sangam of Ganga,Yamua and Saraswati is worth seeing for every Hindu devotee.  After the pooja and aarati, return to hotel. Overnight at Allahabad (Dinner)

Day 02 : Ayodhya

Early morning, you will board in your coach and drive to Ayodhya. Visit Ramjanam Bhumi (the birthplace of Lord Rama), Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan and, Ramkot. Overnight at Ayodhya (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 03: Janakpur

Early morning, you will continue your Yatra by luxury coach to Nepal, the land of Temples. Today you will reach Janakpur- the birthplace of Mata Sita the daughter of King Janak after whose name the city derives it name. Your journey to Janakpur will be via Muzaffarpur. Nepal India border closes at 6 PM every day, so we manage to reach Janakpur before that time. Overnight at hotel in Janakpur (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 04 : Janakpur

Early morning before breakfast visit Janaki Mandir to perform Puja.

The temple was built in dedication to Goddess Sita. In 1657, a golden statue of the Goddess Sita was found at the very spot, and Goddess Sita is also said to have lived there. The temple stands on the exact spot where the statue was found. Goddess Sita was born to the King Janak of the Mithila Kingdom, and was later married to the Lord Rama of Ayodhya, according to the Ramayana. The reference of the town in the Holy Scripture brings thousands of visitors every year from Nepal and India to this ancient temple.

The temple is popularly known as the Naulakha Mandir (meaning Nine Lakhs). The cost for the construction of the temple was about the same amount of money: Rupees Nine Lakhs or Nine Hundred Thousands and hence the name. Queen Vrisha Bhanu – of the Indian state of Tikamgarhm built the temple in 1910. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 05: Pokhara

Today early morning after breakfast, you will continue your journey. Lunch will be provided on the way. You will reach Pokhara by evening. On arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner)

Day 06: Muktinath – Jomsom

After your breakfast, our coach will take you to Kathmandu by drive. On the way, you will visit Manakamna Mata temple by modern cable car. It is believed that Manakamana Mata is the fulfilling Goddess of your wish. After the darshan and puja at Manakamana, you will glide down by the same cable car and board your coach for drive to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 07: Pokhara

The morning flight from Jomsom will take you to Pokhara. After you have relaxed for an hour, you will get ready for a half day tour of Pokhara city, where you will visit Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Bindabasini temple, Davis Fall and will enjoy one hour boating in the renowned Phewa lake. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

Day 08: Kathmandu

After your breakfast, our coach will take you to Kathmandu by drive. On the way, you will visit Manakamna Mata temple by modern cable car. It is believed that Manakamana Mata is the fulfilling Goddess of your wish. After the darshan and puja at Manakamana, you will glide down by the same cable car and board your coach for drive to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)

 Day 09: Kathmandu

Early morning visit Pashupatinath temple and perform Puja. In later half of the day free for own activity and shopping. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).

Day 10: Allahabad

Today morning after breakfast, our team will bid you farewell at the hotel from where the vehicle will take you back to your tour origin.
