Description

Muktinath is a sacred place both for Hindus and Buddhists located in Muktinath Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas), Mustang, Nepal. Within Hinduism, it is called the sacred place MuktiKshetra (Place of salvation). Similarly Buddhist calls this valley the Chumig Gyatsa (Place of 108 waterspouts).

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport.

Arrival of guest at Tribhuwan International Airport. Assistance by our tour representative.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, Boudhhanath and Budhanilkantha.

Pashupatinath and Boudhanath: The temple of Lord Shiva, Pathupatinath with its two-tiered golden roof and silver doors is considered one of the holiest Hindu shrines. You will then visit Boudhanath, which lies 3kms east of Pashupati. This ancient colossal Buddhist stupa is one of the biggest in the world.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Evening: Boating at Phewa Lake.

Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. Situated at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200 km west of Kathmandu valley, the city is known as a center of adventure. Later in the evening boat ride at Phewa. Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in the kingdom, roughly measuring 1.5 km by 4 km, is the center of all attractions in Pokhara.

 

 

Day 4: Early morning flight to Jomsom and drive to Muktinath.

Muktinath temple is famous temple of Lord Vishnu lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 kms northeast of Jomsom in the north central part of Nepal, at an altitude of about 3750 meters. Overnight at Jomsom.

Day 5: Fly back to Pokhara and sightseeing in Pokhara

The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. With the view of pilgrimage the Pokhara city is most popular one in Nepal. Visit Bindhyabasini Temple, Gupteshwor Cave and Davis Fall

Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu.

After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and rest day free for shopping.

Day 7: Departure.

Transfer to Airport for the onward flight.
